The Mountain of Relevance
Welcome to Part 2 of the 6 Creative Mountains Course. If you missed part one, or would like to revisit it, Click Here. The second creative mountain that stands between us and our creative potential is the mountain of relevance.
A square is always rectangle, but a rectangle isn't always a square. The same principle can be said about relevance and effectiveness. Effectiveness is always relevant, but relevant isn't always effective.
It is an easy path to follow, chasing the idea of relevance in our organizations, that leads us to a place of being relevant but not effective. Instead of asking "what can we do to be relevant," start asking "what can we do to be effective." Relevance will always follow effectiveness.
